No trade this morning for us - We almost got taken into a Long false break-out which would have now been stopped out at break-even.

Stop was taken out for -45 on the false break, I believe.
I'm currently following this system on demo and will be going live at the first of next month.
Has anyone tried backtesting this beyond the reported months ? The trend indicator stops at the start of the year and there is no option to stretch it back. I'm assuming it's built on some kind of MA cross.Last edited by Raskol; 01-21-2010 at 03:11 PM.

Yep, we got taken out for -45 yesterday and today we had a (Weak - Caution) Long setup. With Retail Sales due out and us not expecting great things we didn't place any orders. A good call as disappointing Retail Sales figures were announced sending GBP/USD on a big downhill (which took our already open (from yesterday) Sniper Long trade out).

Hi all. I'm using this system too, live at present, standard strat only. Also avoided the trade this morning because of the Retail figures being released (tendancy to cause far too much volatility for my liking!)
Would also be interested to know if anyone had backtested back further though.

-45 again today, looked like it was going in the right direction for a while then it shot up when NY opened.
Currently hovering at the top of a downwards channel that developed on the 19th.

Yes - we got taken out after being within about 15 pips of moving Stop to Break-even, never mind, on to today. Could go either way, in the middle of last nights range at present, we have standard orders and false breakout orders in.
UPDATE: Got taken into a False Break-out Long trade which was quickly taken out when worse than expected GDP figures were announced!
