I opened my live account with this broker in December last year and can honestly say that I am happy with the service. I have never suffered slippage with my stops even when the market is moving quite fast.
I did have one problem when a trade was stopped out when it shouldn't have been. I emailed customer service about that and it was sorted to my satisfaction immediately.
I know that they did have problems with coping with the volume of traders using the Forex Morning Trade system, but that didn't affect me.
I agree that the loss of data feed at times can be a nuisance, but usually it is only a matter of minutes. I do remember one time the feed was out for 2 or 3 hours, but I only remember this happening once. This hasn't caused me any problems (yet).
I much prefer the simplicity of spread-betting on the MT4 platform and with no other brokers offering this at the moment, I feel the advantages outweigh any disadvantages and so will be sticking with this broker for the time being.

Demo account set up! The MT4 platform looks daunting at first glance. One thing I would like to do is set up a 2 minute candle period in addition to, or instead of one of the in-built periods. Is this possible? I have noticed a clear reversal pattern on a two-minute time frame, which is not clear on the other time frames.

My immediate comment is a pip comparison between GKFX and my 'live' account with another broker, Tradewise. Over the weekend I was short on EURGBP, so that was a natural comparison. The spread on GKFX is/was 1.8 pips and on Tradewise 1.0 pips. Both were constant with the mid-point on the larger spread slightly leaning towards the ask price. This difference seems quite large. Anyone care to comment?

Looks like SLM is down this afternoon, shortly after 1pm UK time. Still down at 13:12. Not cool! Especially if you're using the Wall St system.

Anyone having issues logging on - I get a constant loop to "User account control" - "Allow this program to make changes to this computer" - Loop - Loop - Loop - Live chat asked me to email or phone support - Unwilling to ask support to contact me for some reason !

No problem here. Having not used it on my PC for a while, it updated to build 416 when I started it up.
