Forex Open / Morning Trade Combination Therapy
In September I noticed that Forex open would have kept me out of some losing trades on Forex Morning Trade, Aug and July also looked promising. So from 1 October I have been using the following trading rules:
1. Trade either Eur / USD or GBP / USD (simply because these are the pairs I follow).
2. Only trade where Forex open is STRONG or better.
3. Trade one of the two between 0630 and 0650 where the Morning Trade system is suggesting a trade in the same direction as Forex open.
4. Where MT suggests trading both, trade only the one with the Stronger Forex Open signal.
5. Where MT suggests both and Open signal is the same, trade only GBP / USD.
This has delivered 50 pips in October, and 105 so far in November - which should be better, except I had a client meeting one day so could not move the stop to break-even and finished up losing 45 pips.
This compares to two heavy losing months with just Morning Trade.

Re: Forex Open / Morning Trade Combination Therapy
Update for December is that Combination Therapy lost 25 pips, which compares to 107 pips lost from just using FMT alone.
Although these results are not yet statistically significant, they are more than good enough for me to carry on with this method in 2012.

Re: Forex Open / Morning Trade Combination Therapy
January results are loss of 10 pips for 120 profit since 1 October 2011. The Forex Morning Trade result over the same 4 months was 427 loss.
No reason to alter the approach.
