London Forex Open Results
Hi,
We use Ava FX (for indicators) and also IG Index (for trading) - exactly the same as the London Forex Open team as we believe. We suppose thats why we have the same results. The system is 100% mechanical so it would be of some surprise if our results did differ.
Our trading room which we and others try and participate in every morning is here and it is extremely rare that any of us get differing results. Where we do on rare occasion it is usually where different brokers are used. This is to be expected from time to time because of pricing and spreads and is why we use what the London Forex Open team use - To best eliminate this.
Hope that helps.

4-May-10 Short 120
10-May-10 Long 120
14-May-10 Short -120
18-May-10 Long -120
24-May-10 Long -20
Profit/Loss = -20 pips
With an average stop loss of 120 (3 lots x 40 pips) and 3% risk per trade, May P&L = -0.5%

19-May-10 Short 125

27-May-10 Short 0

Cap Spreads
In the Trading room people use various brokers - not sure if Caps is one of them but we would imagine that it will work just as well as the others. We use IG because of the Stepped Trailling Stop Loss function.

"Newbie" & Stepped Trailling Stop
"Newbie" as you refer to yourself - As individuals we all vary so we would not wish to provide a categoric yes to this answer. We can say though in terms of trading it is probably one of the most simple Forex trading strategies we have reviewed.
Stepped Trailling Stop Loss - Not even sure if we have used the correct term but it basically means that when an instrument moves say 50 pips you can specify to move your stop 50 pips. So if you are in a trade long from say 15550 and your initial stop is 15500 when 15600 is hit the stop will move to 15550 (break-even) - Subsequently if the instrument rises (100 pips) to 15650 the stop will then move to 15600 thus "locking in" 50 pips profit.
Others may have a better view or explanation than us on the above - hope it helps.

Hi reviewteam - I am thinking about purchasing this system and am reading the review, journal and live room threads. I do have one question that springs to mind though: You mention trailing/moving stops, and this is something that I often do manually, and how you can do that automatically using IG Index. I use IG index and cannot see this feature - can you tell me where I can do that please?
Thanks a lot in advance.
