Journal - London Forex Rush (NO LONGER UPDATED)
This thread will a journal we will maintain and post to on a monthly basis because although we are trading London Forex Rush as a system we still have an outstanding issue, as per our review.
Until this is resolved by their support or we satisfy ourselves it is not an issue we will keep it off our official "Systems We Use" list.
A summary of our trades from July and August are posted below and if this performance continues through September we will consider adding it to our "Systems We Use" list (and make a note of the outstanding caveat).
07-Jul GBP/CHF short 60
08-Jul GBP/CHF short 57
15-Jul GBP/JPY long 155
20-Jul GBP/AUD short -46
31-Jul GBP/CHF long -33
July Profit = +193
03-Aug GBP/JPY long 112
10-Aug GBP/USD short 75
11-Aug GBP/USD short -38
13-Aug GBP/AUD short -50
14-Aug GBP/JPY short 129
20-Aug GBP/USD long -43
21-Aug GBP/CHF short -33
25-Aug GBP/CHF short 71
26-Aug GBP/USD short 67
August Profit = +290
With an average stop loss of less than 50 and say 2% risk per trade, July profit = circa 8%, August = circa 12%.
As always, any others with experience of this system, your input is welcomed.

Journal Sept-2009 - London Forex Rush
Firstly, as per our review we still have an outstanding issue with London Forex Rush but it has not stopped (one of) us using the system for 3 months now. Nor will it stop us using the system going forward even though results this month are not as good as the first couple of months. London Forex Rush has now been added to our "Systems We Use" list and we will continue to maintain this journal going forward.
Below is a summary of our trades for September.
04-Sep GBP/CHF long 46
07-Sep GBP/AUD short 88
08-Sep GBP/AUD short -41
10-Sep GBP/CHF short -25
29-Sep GBP/AUD short -45
September Profit = +23
With an average stop loss of less than 50 and say 2% risk per trade, September profit = about 1%.
Not very many trades and not much of a profit. But it was so little effort and, at the end of the day, a profit is a profit!

Morning all,
Just a few words on London Forex Rush.
Firstly to Billy L. I have finally got this sytem to work, partly anyway. You need to fill in your details and open a demo account with ODL or your preferred broker and not just download the Meta trader. Also as regards the template, don't click the download template button but right click the download template button ,copy and save to a folder on your desktop. From there you can copy into the designated Meta trader folder as per the instructions.
To review team, I have my Tokyo end time set to 6 and end London start time to 7 as per the table in the manual. Is this correct as when I open to wait for the London open there are already sometimes some trades indicated before 8.00 am?
What disturbs me is that you have had no trades triggered for November but I have had 2.
Also by monitoring these trades, I think it may be possible to cut losses by taking a second position for the distance of the stop loss. In other words if there is a long trade called with a stop loss of 40, if you take the trade normally and then another trade for a limit of 40, then if it falls just short of target then the loss is 0 because you have reached a 40 limit on the second trade. I need to examine this further but for the moment I need to make sure the Metatrader is set up correctly. Can you help with the Tokyo/ London time set ups in your version?
Regards All,
Tony

Re: London Forex Rush Update
Hi Tony,
We have different times frames on our ODL account (which is different to the manual since Daylight saving changed a few weeks ago - why we do not know! - But, works for us!):
Tokyo start - 23:00
Tokyo end - 7:00
London start- 08:00
Re: Trades - Yes we have had no trades this month but we have had some signals - including today.
On 05-Nov there was a signal for GBP/AUD but it didn't hit entry and on 06-Nov there were a few signals but there was news at 09.30 (Red GBP - PPI Input m/m) so we canceled orders before the news. Today there is a signal for GBP/CHF but it looks very unlikely to trigger plus the Tokyo range is little bit too wide so the trade would be very risky anyway.
Hope it helps.

Re: London Rush Adjustments & Update On Re-Painting
Tony,
You are welcome.
All,
Please take note of the following commentary on repainting - this is only the second time we have noticed this but it may seriously affect those of you considering pure Set & Forget.
Today was a bit of a rollercoster for London Rush. With GBP/JPY the signal is switching from Long to No trade, at 08:00 (UK Local time) we had a Long signal and then when the price headed down the signal disappeared, then when the price came up again the signal (Long) was back on again, and then off. In this instance the order will not be filled so it has not been a huge issue but confusing all the same and we just wanted to point this out. We are around to monitor this and so can take action, those placing trades and heading off to work may feel it prudent to exercise some caution.
This is only the second time we have witnessed this happening and we accept that it will happen from time to time, we are around to handle it so it's no major issue. As most of you know, we cannot ever get a response from support, so our choice is really made for us if we wish to continue trading this system.
At present, even though there have still been no trades this month we will persevere with patience.
