Introduction (neophyte?)
I've been mooching around this forum for a few weeks now so I think I should introduce myself. I live in the north west UK and I'm looking to give up the day job. I've worked all over and trained for years to get to this level in my career where I'm earning a fair bit but my work is slowly moving offshore. I've been pretty good at keeping ahead of this but recently I was very ill and no longer have the stamina for the kind of effort it involves, nor the will to miss so much time with my family. Happily I've always been financially conservative so I don't have any debts or expensive lifestyle to support. I have some savings that I want to use to trade. I intend to give myself a year (if the cash lasts!) and see where I stand, otherwise it's back to work.
A friend introduced me to forex and CFDs several years ago and I lost the appropriate amount to make me forget about it. Last year I tried a few fixed odds tipsters with moderate success, then began to explore other systems (from forex to horse-racing).
At the moment I'm sticking to mechanical trading systems and one robot as I don't have much spare time, but I intend to stop working shortly and trade full time for income and growth. I think I want to be in and out of the market within the day and avoid leaving trades running over night or weekends as I find myself checking them on my phone. Also, I've bought several systems but not had the time to test most of them within the 30 days return period, so have kept them
. I use babypips, moremoneyreview, trade2win and this website, but I prefer this one for the grit to gold ratio
and the rigid moderation.
I do support the idea of private forums though as I am aware that people who haven't paid for a system can pick up the details in forums like the live trading rooms here and at trade2win. If this year goes well, I will look at sharing a trading office with other 'amateur/independent/retail' traders in the North West (or the south of France if it goes really well
)
Thanks for a good forum!

Thanks and I will do. At the moment, I'm abroad and don't have much spare time although I'm still able to lose money on Net Trap. I intend to get started on 1 Minute this week and will therefore start popping up over there (if all goes well).
