I agree the returns at present are approx 200 per month, not the average of 800 claimed, although it is only fair to point out that the results published on the website for the last few months have also only been approx 200/month.

I'm so far happy with the system.

Agreed. For now we have to accept the downturn in performance and ensure that the service is reporting the results we are achieving, and at present they are.

Any update on your research into Forex Senior. I think you said you would stick with it through December.

All,

We have now been running this service for 5 months and this month (December) was again profitable. There were 8 trades triggered which produced a net return of 174 pips.

5 month summary:
- August - 6 trades - +331 pips
- September - 7 trades - +160 pips
- October - 5 trades - +227 pips
- November - 5 trades - +205 pips
- December - 8 trades - +174 pips

So, we are still averaging around 200 pips profit a month, with an average Stop of 60 pips and 2% risk per trade this is around 6% profit per month.

Again, no where near the average reported on the website, 800 pips/month, but nonetheless, satisfactory enough.

So far, although the results are not as good as those advertised on the website, they are reasonable. The cost element, it seems, can be justified based on a steady 5-6% return each month over a 5 month period and we have reason to believe the historic results are genuine. In the hope of better things (improved performance), some may wish to consider adding this service to their own Services We Use list. For now, although we will continue to run the service we will reserve judgement with the view that we are happy with the systems/services we are currently running. We may well though, add this service in the future, as it does seem to be "holding it's own".

I briefly used Forex Senior at the end of 2009. I can confirm that the results I was getting were identical to what is posted on their site. I stopped using the service mainly because I am located in GMT+4 and hence 5pm EST = 2am for me...

I would like to point out that there is another forex signal under the same corporate umbrella as Forex Senior, Forex Pro Advice. Over the long run the past performance seems to be similar to that of Forex Senior and like Forex Senior was somewhat disappointing during the past few months.

I also briefly traded Forex Pro Advice and can confirm that the results I obtained were identical to what was posted on the site. I stopped using Forex Pro Advice for the same reason I stopped using ForexSenior...

I would suggest that you consider reviewing Forex Pro Advice. Trading both simultaneously indeed brings some kind of stability to the past performance. The promoters of these 2 services emailed me the trade per trade past performance. I did some back testing and noticed that trading both on the same account doesn't increase the maximum drawdown but does significantly increase the average monthly return.

Thanks for that feedback. It is always encouraging to know that the figures being reported by vendors are actual. In an ideal world it would be great if we did not have to perform these due diligence exercises ourselves.

i too am seriously considering using a signal service/s until i can anil my own type of trading style...

Forex Senior signal service and this thread in particular has attracted my attention, but i am always a little skeptical about such signal webistes that offer little info to the non registered.....(am skeptical about the over hyped sites as well with 100% succes rates and killer system results etc..lol)

i also find it unnerving that they have a what seems to be a siter site/sevice as mentioned by ForexGump earlier in the thread. If you look at the layout of the site everything appears to be the same text and navigation wise just arranged differently with additional graphics.. i'm trying to think of a positive for the user as to why they would do this?

A disappointing month for Forex Senior, a losing month, however to put things in perspective, it is the first losing month. There were 8 trades which triggered, only one of them won and the net result was -133 pips.

All results to date are posted below.

6 month summary:
- August - 6 trades - +331 pips
- September - 7 trades - +160 pips
- October - 5 trades - +227 pips
- November - 5 trades - +205 pips
- December - 8 trades - +174 pips
- January 2010 - 8 trades - -133 pips

This brings the average return down to about 160 pips a month. With an average Stop of 50 pips and 2% risk per trade this is still around 6% profit per month.

This is still no where near the average reported on the website, 800 pips/month, but nonetheless, remains satisfactory enough.

We will continue to run this service and report February's results. We will also be running the Forex Pro Advice service with a view to issuing a review in February/March this year.
